I’ve tried burgers from all over North America – from gourmet restaurants to authentic roadside barbecue grills – a good burger is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. But one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted comes from a local joint in my hometown of St. Catharines, Ontario. And, it’s aptly named The Guilty Burger. My all-time favourite sandwich is the Philly Cheesesteak. Since it was invented in Philadelphia, PA, the cheesesteak has become a staple at many sandwich or sub joints across North America, giving cheesesteak lovers like myself easy access to the delicious dish. But the only way you can truly experience and appreciate the art and taste of a Philly Cheesesteak is to have one from the local institutions credited for its creation and innovation.

Toronto has plenty to offer when it comes to local, boutique shopping. Almost every neighbourhood has its unique shops and stores, but two of my personal favourites reside in Toronto’s west side – Crywolf Clothing and North Standard Trading Post. Both places design and carry their own clothing brands and accessories – from t-shirts and sweaters to leather pieces and candles – Crywolf and North Standard offer distinct, locally-inspired goods that you won’t find at any major retailers or chain stores.

Craft beer has become a family affair for Colton and Asa Proveau.

The 22-year-old twins from Pelham, Ont. dreamed of sharing a career that allows for creative freedom while avoiding the monotony of a typical job. After a high school business project sparked their interest in the brewing industry, they began setting the groundwork for their future calling.

There are many great places to travel in Florida – from Tampa to Miami and the Keys, the Sunshine State has plenty of unique and beautiful areas to visit.
